The Vanguard Group Application Engineer III in Malvern, Pennsylvania
Application Engineer III (The Vanguard Group, Inc. / Malvern, PA) -- Provide senior level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases as well as integrate third party products; translate technical specifications into code for complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients; write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports; employ software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that supports automation; elevate code into development, test, and production environments on schedule; provide follow-up production support; submit change control requests and documents; utilize thorough understanding of software development methodology and development architecture standards; train and mentor staff with less experience; resolve elevated issues; participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues; explain technical considerations at related meetings, including those with internal clients; perform systems analysis activities; utilize thorough understanding of client business functions and technology needs; utilize a broad understanding of technologies, tools, and applications, including those that interface with business area and systems; interface with cross functional team members and communicate systems issues at appropriate technical level for each audience; utilize thorough understanding to comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures. Requires Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or closely related IT field and two years of experience in job offered or in IT positions including Full Stack Developer and/or Senior Frontend Developer and/or Senior Full Stack Developer; or Bachelor's and five years of experience. Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated strong proficiency in Frontend User Interface development using Angular, NgRx, JavaScript, Node.js; demonstrated ability to quickly understand the inner workings of complex technology solutions and bring innovative ideas to maintain stability of newest as well as existing services; proficiency in Dev Sec Ops and build, deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a product, continuously evaluate and implement evolving best practices, reducing risk by proactively integrating security practices into software development life cycle; demonstrated ability to utilize best practices through Architecture Reviews, technical skills, and tooling; experience with Angular, Node.js, SRE skills, API Cloud Native development, and AWS. Company operates on hybrid model with three days in office and work-from-home available two days.
