Insight Global Director of Enterprise Applications in Manchester, New Hampshire

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Remote Director of Enterprise Application for a large manufacturing company. The Director of Enterprise Applications role will lead the ongoing support for their global enterprise applications. This includes everything from daily support to the implementations of new features, adding application modules to existing systems and the planning and implementing of entire systems across our global operations environment. The Director of Applications will primarily support the company's Oracle EBS ERP system as it is deployed globally by supporting the daily business operations through the leadership and guidance of a globally dispersed team of fulltime and contract resources. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist internal business partners and IT staff on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. The Director of Enterprise Applications will also be given implementation and support responsibilities for non-Oracle applications systems which have close coupling to our Oracle applications portfolio. Additional experience managing connected systems required.

Essential Job Functions:

 Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

 Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

 Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices. Seek out opportunities to leverage application usage best practices across all sites around the world.

 Plan and budget initiatives, resources, and dollars on a yearly basis and ensure adherence to plan and budget, while adjusting according to the changing business needs.

 Actively engage business management on a regular basis to ensure business needs are being met.

 Ensure a detailed succession plan is in place for both individuals and skills to ensure sufficient staff depth is in place to meet the needs of the business.

Skills and Requirements

15+ years of IT experience, plus 5+ years of management experience in managing globally diverse teams.

 Extensive experience with Oracle EBS ERP systems and databases.

 Proven experience working with Oracle Support, and Oracle management, including escalation of Support issues, addressing SEV 1 issues on a 24 X 7 basis, and engaging Oracle on our feature/function needs.

 Experience supporting Oracle EBS in a manufacturing environment.

 Experience with Oracle EBS in Supply Chain planning

 Experience managing on-shore or off-shore vendors based on clearly established SLAs (SLA data collection, SLA reporting, and implementing remediation actions for underperforming SLAs), is preferred.

 Knowledge of all applicable data privacy practices and laws.

 Strong written and oral communication skills with multiple constituents internal staff, offshore team, internal business clients, and vendors.

 Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

 Ability to conduct research into application issues and products.

 Keen attention to detail.

 Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
