Position Overview: The Appraisal Representative will assist regional appraisers in producing high quality appraisals. The individual will obtain and analyze sales data information and accurately plat legal descriptions for sales and subject properties. Essential Functions:

• Researches courthouse records in an assigned territory for farm and rural home sales.
• Organizes appraisal files and/or compiles sales data into the enterprise database.
• Understands assessors' property identification number system;
• Binds and proof reads reports for publication to ensure the appraisal report is accurate, grammatically correct, and free of misspelled words.
• Assists with Range of Value analysis and input.
• Reads and understands legal descriptions and units of land measurement to accurately identify the sale or subject property under consideration.
• Reads plat books and aerial photographs to locate each sale in the correct township, section, and location within that section.
• Estimates land area by soil type for sales and subject properties.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High school diploma required, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• One or more years of appraisal experience, or other related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Skill in using Microsoft technologies including e-mail, word and spreadsheet processing.
• Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers and leaders.
• Knowledge of client service principles and practices.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
• Skill in maintaining confidential information.
• Strong organization skill set.
• Detail oriented.
