RICHLAND COUNTY BOARD OF DD Speech Therapist in Mansfield, Ohio
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Speech Therapist evaluates/assess individuals to assist the team in determination of eligibility/needs and if applicable provide direct or consultative supports for individuals enrolled in a Richland CBDD programs. Works in partnership with assigned Richland Newhope programs (Early Intervention/Service Support Administration and/or Residential) as a support to the individuals served.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology; prefer experience with individuals with developmental disability; experience with augmentative communication systems desirable. Valid Ohio Driver's license; must be able to transport self. Must be able to maintain insurability as required by Board policy. Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
CERTIFICATION: Licensed by the Ohio State Board of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY eligible; Completion of First Aid and CPR certification within probationary period; and maintain certification as scheduled by Newhope. May be required to obtain course work at own expense for initial certification as well as renewals. TB testing maybe required.
