Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleThe MedSurg Business is seeking a Senior Product Development Specialist with expertise in IV/catheter design and commercialization. The person hired for this position will be responsible for leading the development and commercialization of new vascular access medical devices/dressings to advance the Tegaderm product platform. This person will work closely with business, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory counterparts to develop product strategy, and to identify, prioritize, and execute differentiated, high-value global projects for new and existing opportunities to grow and advance the MedSurg Infection Prevention and Surgical Solutions Business.As an Advanced Product Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Leading the global development of next generation vascular access solutions.Scaling-up new medical device developments from the bench through manufacturing.Collaborating with Product Developers and Engineers to provide subject matter expertise needed for NPI and change management activities related to catheter securement and catheter performance.Guiding the exploration of new technologies and sensors to expand the value associated with the Tegaderm portfolio.Leading the protection of new inventions via aggressive IP Filing.Maintaining external knowledge of competitive developments and the use of catheter securement and assessment systems outside of Solventum. Participate in appropriate Thought Leadership opportunities and trade groups.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university AND Ten (10) years' experience in the medical device industry in a private, public, government, or military environment.High School Diploma/GED AND 14 years experience in the medical device industry in a private, public, government, or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution, specializing in BioMedical, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering.Experience with medical device design control requirements.Proven competency in the leading and executing of high priority programs from ideation through commercialization.Strong command of product and process understanding principles.Expertise developing new test methods and scaleup of systems.Work location:Onsite [Maplewood Campus, MN]Travel: May include up to 10-20% domestic/international.Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
