IBM Advisory Delivery Consultant - Security Intelligence and Operations ( in Markham, Ontario

Your Role and Responsibilities

How much do you think about the authentication, authorization, audit and user

management? Do you continuously think how increase the AAA's integration surface to cover

as much OSI layers as possible? Are you security driven with a healthy dose of paranoia

controlling all your access points? If yes then the role in Technology Expert Labs is probably

for you!

In this role you will become an advisor and management consultant who can speak about

the entire security landscape in Customer's business context talking to senior management

or executive team.

On term you should have acquired depth of knowledge and experience in Security Identity

and Management (IAM) domain and should be able to speak across the landscape as well.

As a confirmed consultant, working independently you will provide subject matter expertise

in the form of briefings, workshops, and/or consulting engagements within your domain that

assess a client's security capabilities as well as recommending solutions to enhance a

client's overall security capabilities. Such client security capabilities may involve policy,

process, technology, or organizational areas.

Information and Data are some of the most important organizational assets in today's

businesses. As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing

business requirements to design and implement the best security IAM solutions for their

needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing

the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing

enterprise security business in the world.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to lead large groups and be a primary facilitator.

  • Strong writing skills

  • Comfortable working in a project based / client serving model.

  • Lead and shape client expectations

  • Ability to work with global and diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work in a matrix management model.

  • The ability to travel and adapt to other cultures.

  • Strong track record in building relationships with internal and external senior

stakeholders

  • A proven track record of successful consulting and transformation projects in IAM

  • Excellent overview on the IAM market, including technologies, vendors capabilities

and concepts.

Experience in performing and driving projects in one or more IAM domains:

o Identity Governance and Administration.

o Authentication, Multifactor Authentication and Federation

o Privileged Access Management

o IAM for Cloud Infrastructures and/or DevOps

o Consumer IAM

  • One or more relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, SABSA

or other

  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements for IAM

  • Technological certifications of leading IAM technologies, e.g. CyberArk, Savyint, IBM,

Okta, Hashicorp

  • 5 years+ experience in common authorization platforms (e.g. Azure AD, Active

Directory, SAP, LDAP, RACF)

  • Knowledge of authentication methods and technologies (e.g. MFA and adaptive/step-

up/risk-based authentication, FIDO, X509, blockchain)

  • Knowledge of Access Management capabilities in Cloud infrastructures, e.g. Azure

AD, AWS and GCP

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

An understanding of security technologies demonstrated by having one or more relevant

security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, SABSA or other. Additional

preferences are:

  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements for IAM

  • Technological certifications of leading IAM technologies, e.g. CyberArk, Savyint, IBM,

Okta, Hashicorp

  • 5 years+ experience in common authorization platforms (e.g. Azure AD, Active

Directory, SAP, LDAP, RACF)

  • Knowledge of authentication methods and technologies (e.g. MFA and adaptive/step-

  • Additional major European language skills preferred such as German, French.

The consultant, working independently will be internal advisor to other IBM consultants and

client teams. The consultant will implement the IBM Security software at customers with as

biggest focus to make the customers successful with IBM Software.

As a mature consultant you will identify gaps in the current environment and recommend

best practices or solutions to reduce client risk and increase their ability to deal with

emerging threats and risks to the organization.
