Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Annual Giving Officer is responsible for establishing and growing Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) Foundation’s philanthropic presence by contacting and cultivating annual donors and prospects capable of making gifts of $1,000-$10,000. This position will work to improve retention of Circle of Friends donors, increase revenue from annual donors, and coordinate with Gift Officers to identify and qualify major gift prospects. The Annual Giving Officer works closely with members of the Foundation team to promote a team environment and enhance communication and efficiency efforts while playing a supportive role in major giving, special event sponsorship acquisition, donor cultivation events, planned giving and volunteer management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field and one year of experience in fundraising, sales, communications or healthcare.

• Associate degree in communications, business, marketing or related field and three years’ experience in fundraising, sales, communications or healthcare.

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience in fundraising, sales, communications or healthcare.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Experience with the Raiser’s Edge software application.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
