Amergis Travel RN Labor and Delivery in Martinez, California

Registered Nurse(RN) - Labor & Delivery(L&D)

Phone Screen with Recruiter and phone interview with hiring manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer intravenous therapy and other prescribed medications and treatments as per MD orders.

  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during procedures, treatments, and examinations.

  • Assess patient needs, identify problems, plan and implement nursing interventions, evaluate outcomes, and document all aspects of care. Report significant deviations from normal to physicians.

  • Assign tasks to ancillary personnel.

  • Orient, precept, and mentor new and entry-level nurses in problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Identify and address urgent patient needs and initiate appropriate measures.

  • Provide directions to nursing team members to ensure thorough, safe, and evidence-based patient care.

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

  • Perform physical assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

  • Conduct case management and monitor laboratory tests.

  • Document all care provided.

  • Identify and address actual and potential problems, intervening and reporting to the appropriate disciplines.

  • Coordinate patient care, initiate and participate in patient/family teaching and discharge planning.

  • Address the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of patients.

  • Manage medications and perform ongoing patient education.

  • Participate in quality improvement projects and continuous learning and evidence-based research.

Requirements:

  • 1+Years of RN L&D Experience

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): Must possess and maintain a current ACLS certificate issued by the American Heart Association.

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP): Must complete all lessons to obtain the NRP certificate issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring: Must maintain a CCRMC-approved advanced fetal monitoring certificate.
