Curries (an ASSA ABLOY branded company) is expanding our Customer Service and Project Services Team. This will be an on-site position based out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Project Services Specialist?

You will translate distributor approved hollow metal submittals and hardware schedules for completeness and accuracy.You will also enter the data into Protech to generate a Curries order.

You would also:

  • Translate distributor orders and schedules

  • Receive and compare purchase order, sales quotation to process order

  • Organize material and completed assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarify, conciseness, style and terminology

  • Maintain templates and files of work and revisions based on input from internal and external sources

  • Review materials and recommend revisions or changes in content, and methods required by Sales, Operations or customer requirements

  • Write technical specifications, manuals, step-by-step procedures and reports, use illustrations and pictures as required

  • Analyze orders to identify and correct inefficiencies in order writing process

  • Follow-up on design and/or assembly problems, recommend and implement corrective action

  • Review engineering changes for design changes, correct process drawings and revised instructions/manuals

  • Routine interaction with manufacturing and customers should be expected

  • Perform special assignments and projects as assigned

  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees

  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

    The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High School or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Order Management role that is technical in nature

  • Previous experience within the building material, hardware or construction industry and/or a manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience or exposure to reading blueprints or schematics

  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously

  • Must excel working in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience/exposure working within Metal Fabrication, Hollow Metal, Door or Building Materials industries are highly desirable
