What You Can Expect to do Day to Day The Group Manager, AF (Afib) Therapy Development will lead the AF Therapy Development team for on increasing surgical ablation penetration in the treatment of Afib in the cardiothoracic surgery space. This team drives therapy awareness, boosts surgical referrals, and create seamless patient care pathways through strategic sales partnerships. This player/coach role will continue to implement all initiatives within their own target accounts while leading a team of AF TDMs. Coach and develop AF TDMs (Therapy Development Manager) to increase awareness and education at all levels of a hospital system of the guidelines for and benefits of surgical ablation. This includes individual clinical staff education and follow-up as well as presenting to large groups in a formal setting (e.g. administrative staff meetings, grand rounds, etc). The role will execute C-Suite presentations at a national level and develop AF TDMs to do so within their region. Develop team to build relationships throughout target accounts and their referral network to increase adoption of surgical ablation. This includes educating acute/outpatient/referring HCPs and implementing account-specific programs to improve patient access to care. Develop and lead target account development plans, requiring teamwork and strategic planning with the Sales, Professional Education, and Marketing. Develop national screening opportunities that can be adapted to different markets to identify patients with AF at the point of referral. Demonstrate and help regional teams execute referral outreach programs for clinicians to increase awareness and adoption of surgical ablation and left atrial appendage management. Manage, update, and deliver patient education materials and programs that AF TDMs can implement in collaboration with medical staff at target accounts in acute and outpatient settings. Develop and share best practices across the different franchise therapy development teams, including leading meetings and communicating outcomes and recommendations to leadership. The role is intended to promote therapy awareness and surgical adoption.
