SOFTWARE ENGINEER Makino is a world leader in metal-cutting and machining technology. What will I be doing? * Complete software development projects and testing assignments. * Provide support for existing software installations. * Interface with vendors, customers, and other Makino team members to successfully complete assigned projects. * Provide technical input to software designs and implementation in a multi-discipline software engineering team environment. * Due to the exciting work that we do and the hands-on work with our amazing machines, it is required to be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. This position also requires occasional travel to customer facilities. What experience is required? * Experience or training in C# (required), Angular, SQL and MQTT nice but not required. * Knowledge and experience with PLC's, Cobot or automation is a plus. * Knowledge or experience with Agile software development is a plus * Knowledge of web application development is desirable but not required * Ability to attain a working knowledge of machine controls and their applications * Able to utilize Office products: Word, Excel, etc. * Effective verbal and written communication skills What are the education requirements? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
