SeaComm Federal Credit Union Core Support Specialist I in Massena, New York

Role:To assist the Credit Union in achieving its Service Mission to deliver Total Member Delight in each and every service interaction with both internal and external members. In addition, monitor and maintain critical core system while ensuring high level of data availability. Also responsible for implementing and overseeing database procedures to ensure their integrity. Primary support person for all credit union eCommerce activities to include electronic banking and web based marketing within the Information Systems Department. Participate in maintaining and supporting the computers, networks, electronic communications and internet transactions of the credit union.Responsibilities:-Act as level 2 support technician for all items related to core processes and functions.-Produce electronic documentation for use in Symitar (symforms, SymPDF, File Processing).-Design and develop applications for specified client departments. Act as technical liaison between computer systems users, vendors and IS. Provide project management and support for computerized departmental systems and related projects.-Serve as secondary contact for all e-commerce services.-Assist with installing upgrades, software patches and IBM updates on all Symitar Systems. Work with all department managers on the documentation and testing of updates and patches.-Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills:Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.Interpersonal Skills: Work normally involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift equipment weighing 20lbs or more.
