What You'll Do The CNC Operator and Apprentice is responsible for the operation of several milling machines and manual machining equipment to produce parts according to defined standard processes. This role includes a company-paid education component, requiring the employee to enroll in our state-registered apprenticeship program which culminates with a Journeyman certificate. Although experience as a CNC Operator is desired, it is not required. Compensation will be commensurate with level of experience. Operation of CNC milling machines Diagnosis and/or correction of equipment and/or tooling issues Performance of deburring and/or working of in-process works Execution of 1st Piece and In-Process Inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges according to process documentation Operation of manual machining equipment as needed Completing all required paperwork for data entry for each job in not only neatly and accurately, but in a timely fashion Creating recommendations to optimize and/or improve assigned processes Maintaining a clean and organized workstation while performing all work duties to company safety standards Timeliness each day with minimal attendance issues What You'll Bring Local residence to our offices in Maumee, Ohio High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid Driver's License or State ID; reliable transportation to work High level of mechanical aptitude and accuracy; detail-oriented personality Strong work ethic with aspirations to advance in a manufacturing career Commitment to a multi-year apprenticeship program Dependability and flexibility with no attendance issues Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend for the floor on a frequent basis Compliance with GS Engineering's safety standards Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
