Job Description

As a Field Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform testing to assist the project manager in collecting data at established monitoring points and verifying the functionality of sensors. This role requires you to work with various machines, test sensors, and replace them if necessary. You will use basic hand and power tools and work in various environments as machinery is both indoors and outdoors. The position involves travel to various client sites as required. Reading work instructions, following safety rules, writing reports, sending emails, and interacting with customers and coworkers are all part of the job. Documenting issues found is a key part of this role. Familiarity with a computer system and two-way radio usage is beneficial.

Hard Skills

• Manufacturing, industrial or construction experience

• Ability to travel 75% + Pass an MVR

• Handle heights of up to 150 feet

• Use of basic hand and power tools

• Diploma or GED

Soft Skills

• Ability to read and follow work instructions

• Ability to write reports and send emails

• Interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and coworkers

• Documenting issues

This is a Contract-to-Hire position

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Maumee, Ohio.

Work Environment

This role is primarily service-oriented, working for various manufacturing facilities mainly around the Toledo area but also nationally. Most work is done on barring sensors on grain elevators. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, but you must be open to working extended hours or weekends if required. It's a non-union environment. You will travel in a company vehicle with one other data collector/field tester to service customer sites, with the eventual goal of having your own vehicle for travel with the company. The starting pay is $20 per hour.
