Triple-S Patient Service Clerk in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico

Technical Course, preferably in areas related to Health Sciences or Office Services Administration, with 6 months of related experience in administrative functions. Or instead, High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative functions.• Responsible for ensuring that patient documents are properly completed and signed, for billing purposes for medical services.• Provides support to the nursing and billing department regarding medical record management.• Responsible for entering data according to the diagnosis and/or procedure codes identified by the doctor on the "super bill" sheet.• Responsible for verifying the "petty cash" delivered and returning it to the shift supervisor at the time of delivering the cash.• Responsible for carrying out daily accounting of the transactions carried out and validating them with the Finance department.• Responsible for receiving and caring for the patient, either in person and/or by telephone, offering help according to their particular needs.• Guides the patient regarding the services provided by the clinic, the billing process for medical plans, and informs about pending balances.• Generate patient file, registering in the system and updating the socio demographic data of all patients who visit the clinic.• Responsible for receiving and caring for the patient, either in person and/or by telephone, offering help according to their particular needs.• Guides the patient regarding the services provided by the clinic, the billing process for medical plans, and informs about pending balances.• Generate patient file, registering in the system and updating the socio-demographic data of all patients who visit the clinic.
