NBC Universal Account Executive - Telemundo McAllen in McAllen, Texas

Responsibilities:
Generate revenue to the station and its web/digital product from both traditional and non-traditional prospects in the Rio Grande Valley market.
Prospect new business from non-traditional sources such as newspaper, direct mail, radio, and coop vendor programs
Create customized solutions that will satisfy client’s marketing needs and generate revenue for the station
Participate in the station events
Handle all aspects of local accounts both linear and non-linear opportunities
Opportunities to include Telemundo 40, Website, FEP, Peacock, Apple News, Spot On
Develop and grow local client relationships
Coordinate with production team on creating and assist with production as necessary
Complete tasks such as weekly forecasting, reporting and credit/collection of all accounts
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in business development
Minimum 2 years of experience in broadcast media sales
Minimum 2 years of experience in direct sales
Minimum 2 years of experience in designing creative solutions to meet client's needs.
Minimum 2 years of experiencing creating and facilitating sales pitches that articulate a custom solution to client needs and station benefits

Desired Characteristics:
Minimum 2 years of experience in broadcast media sales
Qualified candidates should have self-motivation, resourcefulness, and creativity
Working knowledge of broadcast ratings and research preferred
Ability to handle deadline pressure
Should be a team player, willing to share knowledge and affect team growth
Strong platform skills and very solid selling skills.
Internet experience and knowledge of its workings preferred
