Job Description
As a Manager Trainee, you will work closely with Department Management to learn each department’s functions and how each department helps the Distribution Center succeed. You will coordinate the shipment of special orders and stock orders to all stores and guests. They will follow up with stores and guests to ensure accurate arrival and placement of product prior to dispatching. This manager would also develop resolutions for any issues and implement the appropriate action plans.
Primary Responsibilities:
o Coordinate the shipment of special orders and stock orders to all stores and guests.
o Follow up with stores and guests to ensure accurate arrival and placement of product prior to dispatching
o Act as a liaison to follow up with system failures and delivery deficiencies.
o Constantly monitor work to ensure the highest level of quality.
o Identify problem trends (single site or overall) pro-actively.
o Execute action plan(s) to determine problem, development resolution and implement.
o Follow established processes for problem handling or resolution.
o Assist team members and managers in resolving logistics problems that may arise.
o Coordinate with outside logistics vendors to ensure timely pickup and delivery of products.
o Manage and lead team members in your area and keep all areas in good repair, orderly and clean.
o Ensure all safety policies are enforced, all training is up-to-date and all equipment is guarded and well maintained.
o Keep open communication with all Team Members regarding safety issues.
o Work with supervisors and managers in your area to accomplish goals.
o Come up with innovative ideas to improve current processes.
Skills/Requirements
Required Qualifications
o Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations is preferred. Or relevant experience in a transportation management setting.
o Able to communicate effectively.
o Attention to detail/accuracy.
o Able to establish and maintain effective working relationship.
o Self-motivated and goal oriented.
o Ability to multitask and have organizational skills.
o Decision making qualities.
