What You Will Do :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Training Lead to join our team at Guidehouse. This role will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive training on new and updated policies, procedures, and standards related to large capital construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, particularly within the utility or construction sector, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

You have the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, distill complex and technical concepts into business terms, and develop training solutions that will ultimately shape and influence stakeholder buy-in. You will work with senior executive clients and fellow teammates to drive transformation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs for new and updated policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to capital construction projects.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.

  • Facilitate training sessions using various methods (e.g., workshops, webinars, on-the-job training) to accommodate diverse learning styles.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; make improvements as needed.

  • Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources.

  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure training content remains up-to-date.

  • Provide support and guidance to employees during the training process, addressing questions and concerns promptly.

  • Prepare reports on training activities and outcomes for management review.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Construction Management, or a related field AND 5 plus (+) years of post-graduation experience in training and development, preferably in the utility or construction industry; Or

  • Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, Construction Management, or a related field AND 3 plus (+) years of post-graduation experience in training and development.

  • Proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.

  • Strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and standards relevant to capital construction projects.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience developing visual and compelling training in line with organizational strategic priorities and objectives in PowerPoint, Articulate360, Adobe Captivate, or another like tool

  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and successfully engage with and brief senior leaderships on findings, processes, goals, and recommended solutions

  • Adept at learning the client business, creating internal partnerships, fostering collaboration, and engaging disparate stakeholder groups

  • Ability to travel

  • Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location as needed

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Preference will be given to candidates within reasonable driving distance of a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location

  • Post-graduation experience in training and development in the utilities or construction industry.

  • Certification in training (e.g., CPTD, ATD)

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
