Open Systems International Inc. OMS Application Engineer in Medina, Minnesota
Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment. Work closely with electric distribution utilities to understand their operational needs, provide system training, and implement configuration to meet their requirements. Troubleshoot complex Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) problems and collaborate with technical experts in various domains. Work closely with product development and product management teams to deliver complete solutions, and to enhance OSI s products for the future. Develop scripts and other middleware solutions to integrate 3rd party systems. Perform system acceptance testing with the end customers. Domestic travel required up to 25% of the time. Job can be performed anywhere in the U.S. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of experience in electric distribution utilities occupation. SKILLS: 5 years of experience working with Distribution Management Systems (DMS) and Outage Management System (OMS) products. 5 years of experience preparing training material & training customers using Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) products. 3 years of experience integrating ADMS applications. 3 years of experience with Oracle, SQL, or Complex Queries. 1 year of experience in one or more of the following: power systems, real-time control systems, client/server applications, or network communications. 1 year of experience in, Linux, and Windows operating systems. TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Domestic travel required up to 25% of the time.
