Health First Hospital Based Provider Coordinator - Hospitalist in Melbourne, Florida
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospital Based Provider Coordinator is responsible for delivering superior quality and effectively supporting the operations of the Hospitalist Division. This position will have a visible presence and involvement with site teams, and multiple hospital departments including the Medical Staff Office and Central Verification Offices. The role supports collection of data, complex data analysis, running of reports, and participating in special projects related to operational initiatives and strategic growth.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Interacts with internal and external stakeholders (including management staff, associates, vendors, and other guests).
2. Collects and manages data for monthly meetings and requested reports.
3. Ensures communication of operational aspects and items of interest are distributed to associates.
4. Responsible for oversight of Press Ganey customer experience database, including patient survey questions, running of reports, complex data analyses, and dashboard development.
5. Participates in cross-functional projects/teams with a focus on measurable outcomes.
6. Supports manager in data collection and dashboards creation as it relates to KPI’s to meet objectives and recommend process improvement efforts.
7. Recommends new or improved processes, services, or equipment to enhance efficiency and/or productivity.
8. Validates and processes payments for independent contractors.
9. Assists with initial hire and credentialing processes of new applicants.
10. Participates in and helps ensure new hires receive a comprehensive orientation and training to job duties.
11. Assists with bi-weekly payroll accuracy verification for program manager.
12. May prepare invoices and supporting data of IC contracts for review by program manager.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Work Experience: Three (3) years of experience in healthcare
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of hospital-based patient care.
• Analytical abilities required to recognize problems and propose solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must be able to work independently with assertiveness
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including ability to make presentations
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work flexible hours including offsite work for early and/or late assignments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS– Sedentary
• Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping
• Long periods of computer time or at workstation
• Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
• May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks
• Workspace may vary from open to confined, on site or remote
• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle
