About the role:

The Large Character Marking (LCM) & Thermal Ink Jet (TIJ) Field Product Marketing role is responsible for developing and implementing the regional product line strategy and annual business plans, delivering above market average growth for the LCM & TIJ product lines in EMEA Region and contributing to the global market strategy and product development plan.

Sales, profitability, pricing, and market share are critical measurements of the product manager’s success in the role.

This individual will work closely with the EMEA Regional Sales Organization (Regional and Local Commercial Leaders and Sales Specialists), Service, Marketing, Operations, and the Global Business Unit Manager, reporting to the Director Field Product Marketing EMEA.

This position is part of the EMEA Field Product Marketing team and will be remote/hybrid from Europe.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Profitably grow market share, develop, and execute the regional business plan and portfolio strategy, identify and drive actions to achieve financial targets, and support new product development activity.

  • Develop, deploy, and execute regional tactical product line growth plans incorporating higher-level regional growth objectives and global product line objectives. Provide analysis and insight to the management team on the status of the product line(s), including funnel health, win/loss analysis, areas of growth, risk to plan achievement, changes in market dynamics, etc.

  • Have a deep understanding of application specifics through customer intimacy at Gemba.

  • Capture, analyze, and present competitor and market data (trends, pricing, segment, news, implications to regional value maps); provide recommendations and action plan for competitive responses.

  • Drive resolution of customer satisfaction issues. Manage issues associated with ordering of product, quality concerns, escalations, and supply chain challenges by working with appropriate topic owners across the organization.

  • Participate and act as the region’s primary advocate in cross-functional product development teams. Provide business case input including volumes, lifetime revenue/margin, local price points, and market size, and lead the regional product launch driving revenue achievement.

  • Assist the sales organization in targeting and closing opportunities; including development of target prospecting lists to grow the sales funnel, creation of strong value selling materials, product promotions, participation in sales calls, and additional market, application, and product research as needed.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 4+ years of industry field application experience:

  • Prior product management experience, or

  • Service experience with demonstrated commercial aptitude, or

  • Prior commercial experience with technical skills

  • Sales and Marketing experience is a plus

  • Strong financial and analytical capability with a high level of computer literacy with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce, and Oracle/BI.

  • Deep understanding of LCM & TIJ products.

  • Able to travel approx. +40% of the time across EMEA.
