Job Description

Under supervision of Clinical nurse Manager, implements milieu and individual treatment as indicated on the multi-disciplinary treatment plan, and conducts safety checks. Participates in general milieu development and management activities. May be directed to provide physical care as per nurse manager.

Hours: Full-Time / 40 hours a week / Days / 7am-3pm / eow

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Completion of high school education or an equivalent accredited exam required.

BA or BS in Human Services field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum one year of paid experience as MHW or Psychiatric Counselor preferred.

Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Group and individual counseling skills.

Good communications skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Cognitive and behavioral flexibility.

Safety awareness and problem solving.

Familiarity with acute care hospital setting and geriatric population preferred.
