Job Purpose

In this role, the Director will lead all warehouse operations, be responsible for prioritizing safety, focusing on employee engagement, and improving accuracy while impacting efficiency and driving utilization of technology to achieve continuous improvement. Critical to success will be the ability to develop strong relationships across warehouse, operations leadership, and all external partners. Conceptualize, develop, and implement all operational and ops support projects for the NY Ops Support Logistics Team. Maintain all existing data base sources for the NY Ops Support Logistics Team. Direct all Inventory Management functions in support of the NY Electric and Gas Business Partners.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and lead warehouse operations strategies to meet our volume, operations growth, and operating income expectations.
  • Direct Investment Recovery Operations to ensure efficient processing of all material designated for reclamation, maximizing revenue, sourcing for alternative consumer markets.
  • Utilize analytics to drive improved business decision making, safety, employee engagement, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Partner with IT and IS Teams, as well as 3rd party technology solution teams to drive efficiencies and enhancements within the distribution network.
  • Collaborate with commercial leaders to support commercial go-to-market strategies with a focus on quality and efficiency to meet the unique volume needs of our customers.
  • Continuously review warehouse structures to drive business objectives, efficiency, scale, growth, include role definition, resource, and headcount alignment.
  • Direct all project management charters as the Lead for NY Logistics Operations Support supporting warehouse, fleet maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Leads and facilitates all weekly and monthly project updates and reports to the NY Ops Support Team.
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the warehouse operations function as measured by the P&L including budgeting, and expense management.
  • Oversee warehouse operations budgets, monitor financial reports, metrics, analytics, and adjust business processes, strategy, and resources accordingly.
Talent Management
  • Responsible for multi-layered people leadership across multiple locations.
  • Set annual performance goals that align to organizational objectives.
  • Manage the performance and development of direct and indirect reports throughformal and informal performance management, coaching and feedback, mentoring and training, and developmental tools.
  • Develop and execute the Tactical and Strategic Planning for Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, and Investment Recovery.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles within the warehouse operations function is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experiencein multi-location people managementis required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to our Distribution Center.
  • A valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required.

Salary Range:

Upstate, NY: $142,000 - $167,000

Downstate, NY: $171,000 - $201,000

Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
