Robert Half Accounting Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Memphis, Tennessee for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. The role is in the telecom industry and involves overseeing various accounting tasks such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining credit records, and handling customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries including payroll, depreciation, prepaid expenses, accrued liability, cash receipts, etc.

• Process vendor invoices through the accounts payable/cash disbursements process

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable and various accrued liabilities

• Prepare monthly analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package (including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, backlog, and various supporting analyses)

• Oversee the project control function including coordination with project leads to calculate revenue in accordance with ASC 606 (i.e., Revenue Recognition) and to invoice clients

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Record and review journal entries

• Manage fixed assets and recognize company revenue.

Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor.

• Advanced competency in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.

• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing monthly journal entries.

• Strong knowledge and experience in posting, recording, and reviewing journal entries.

• Demonstrated ability in managing account reconciliation.

• Proficient in the management and tracking of fixed assets.

• Solid understanding and experience in company revenue recognition.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in relevant accounting software.

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications in Accounting may be required.

• Must adhere to all company policies and accounting principles.
