Primary Responsibilities

• Promotes safety as the most important value in the organization by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and procedures.

• Assists with leadership to all distribution shareholders by motivating shareholders to meet and exceed facility standards

• Reports all key team's performance metrics

• Communicates effectively with other departments and levels of management to the mutual benefit of the distribution center

• Monitors all reports in support of material control activities and initiates all necessary actions to reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner

• Initiates and leads investigations to identify root cause of misdirected shipments, damages, shortages, or overcharges in freight cost

• Takes initiative to lead and assist other team members, may include performing production responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Capabilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education and Experience

• Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Travel and/or Physical Requirements

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Completes specialized tasks that frequently require the exchange of detailed technical or sensitive information; establishes protocols and procedures

• Applies expertise as a specialist

• Uses judgment to identify when deviation from standard practice is required
