Bryce Corporation Technical Project Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Summary:

Highly motivated, self-propelled individual with demonstrated knowledge of packaging graphics and print to lead technical projects to deliver clients the best packaging possible. Primary responsibilities include press fingerprint support, graphic workflow and screening development, and cross-departmental project leadership to move our business forward.

Essential Functions:

Press Trial Support

  • Coordinate with team members and suppliers to execute successful trial efforts to meet client needs

  • Prepare graphics and plate files, evaluate print samples, and finalize graphic workflows for production

  • Provide on-site press support for print trial efforts as needed (up to 25% travel)

  • Present press trial results to internal and external stakeholders and recommend optimal plate and press conditions to meet clients’ needs

Workflow & Screening Development

  • Interface with technology suppliers to qualify and implement new screening solutions

  • Develop and maintain Esko workflows for graphic file processing to maximize efficiency and capability

  • S upport all departments with challenges related to graphic workflows and screening technology

    Project Management

  • Manage cross-departmental projects to improve to our capability, capacity, and delivery of print media

  • Capture and analyze business data to realize improvements in quality, effectiveness, and turnaround

  • Coordinate corporate-wide efforts to document and publish standard operating procedures

  • Pursue continuous development of technical and project management skills

  • Perform other and related duties as assigned

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Knowledge of Press Optimization and Characterization processes

  • Familiarity with Esko software and workflows

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to analytically and independently solve problems

  • Ability to work under pressure in adverse conditions and maintain a high level of professionalism

  • Ability to professionally interact with customers/vendors in face-to-face meetings

  • Must have technical aptitude and passion for taking on new challenges

  • Must be a team player and maintain a positive attitude

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications, Packaging Science, or Engineering required.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in the graphics or flexible packaging industries required.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
