The Reasearch and Development (R&D) group is located at the corporate R&D facilities (the ASTRA Center) in Menasha in northeast Wisconsin. The ASTRA Center includes the testing labs which provide advanced physical testing and chemical characterization of polymers, coatings, and foils and the structural combinations of these materials. It also includes a pilot facility providing a wide variety of services and capabilities for the R&D projects as feasibility and scale up potential is evaluated. The R&D group is currently looking for a Full-Time Plant Technician to assist operator with and/or perform machine set-up for orders, safely operate machine to target trial requirements, and troubleshoot machine(s) when it is down or not performing to standard. Expected to progress up to learn all equipment and roles to provide redundancy in knowledge of machine operation and technical experience. This position will support the ASTRA Center with supplemental responsibilities, such as roll doctor operation, small-scale pilot lines operation, material property testing, and inventory and warehouse management.
