POSITION SUMMARY Join our state-of-the-art fabrication department to weld/fabricate precision components used in the manufacturing of our high-value, automated machines. Our fab shop is a showcase of technology, smart processing, and precision workmanship. We have invested in the best tools, and we are looking to add to our team to ensure we have the best people to use them. This position will utilize high-end Miller welders, a remote-controlled weld boom and a Build Pro weld table to fabricate precision parts using both MIG and TIG welding practices. Cross-training on a new Amada laser and Amada Press Brake will also be a part of this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Use both GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding practices to fabricate precision parts fed from our high accuracy, precision cut laser and press brake Weld a wide variety of parts including sheet metal enclosures, fluid power reservoirs, tubular steel frames, robot pedestals and automation devices, engineered components Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and perform precision layout of weldments Work with materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel Operate high-end Miller welders, a remote controlled weld boom and utilize a Build Pro weld table with fixture components Cross-train on Amada Laser and Amada Press Brake MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in welding, fabrication, or similar structured training program preferred. 3+ years of experience with both MIG and TIG welding, ideally in a custom production or machine shop environment (weld test will be performed at interview). Self-directed, organized, productive, strong attention to detail, pride in workmanship and strong written and verbal communication skill crucial for success. PHYSICAL REEQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds unassisted. Regular use of overhead cranes for lifts greater than 50 pounds. Regularly stands for 8 hours. Regularly bends, stoops, reaches and moves. Regularly exerts up to 10 pounds of force and frequently exerts up to 25 pounds of force to move objects. Constantly required to correctly follow...
