THE MALISH CORPORATION Quality Inspector - 1st shift in Mentor, Ohio
* * Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, this position is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of the parts and components used or created meet or exceed expectations through inspection and verification against accepted standards.
Essential Functions:
* *Perform inspections on raw materials and finished goods to determine their acceptability using provided documentation. Types of inspections will include:
1. 1. In Process In process inspections -- this will make up the bulk of the inspection time, walking between work centers to verify that the parts being produced continue meet or exceed the quality expectations. 2. 1^st^ Piece Inspection 3. Finished goods production inspection 4. Shipping Fabrication order inspection 5. Pre-shipment inspections 6. Incoming raw material inspections 7. Rejected raw material inspection/verifications and nonconformance entry (Step 1 of 3)

``` 1. Types of measuring equipment to be used includes: 1. Calipers 2. Measuring Tapes 3. Taper Gauges 4. Force Meters 5. Torque Meters 6. Height Gauges 7. Durometer Gauges 8. Optical Comparator 9. Ultrasound thickness Gauges 10. Various custom-made and part-specific gauges and fixtures.
*Minimum Qualifications: *
- Knowledge of quality processes, statistical process control experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Must be a self starter capable of working efficiently & effectively with minimal supervision, good oral communicator, methodical, meticulous and observant.
- Knowledge of production processes and products
- Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, tape measure, micrometers, go/no go gauges.
- Ability to obtain a lift truck operator certification.
- Ability to be on their feet and mobile for an eight-hour shift. This position requires a good deal of walking through the shift.
