Finance Lead, Financial Reporting – U.S. Therapeutics

The Finance Lead is a high visibility role that drives our AbbVie U.S. Therapeutics financial reporting for P&L actuals (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually) in compliance with AbbVie Policies and Procedures, delivering reporting directly to Leadership and providing results, analysis, and commentary to Global/Corporate Finance Teams. This role consolidates cross functionally, working directly with the Brand, Global, and Corporate Finance Teams. The Lead is instrumental in process improvements, automation, and helping drive the business forward. The Lead also drives budget/forecast cycles for Plan, LRP, and LBEs for Freight and Distribution, OMC, and more. This is an individual contributor role.

  • Responsible for P&L Actuals consolidation and monthly Closing process for all of U.S. Therapeutics, providing accurate and timely financials, analysis, and commentary deliverables to meet both Global and Corporate financial requirements

  • Responsible for the Quarter Landing process, working with Demand Planning and Brands to Flash early insights into the how the Quarter will land, submitting deliverables to Global prior to Quarter Close

  • Manages planning and forecasting for Freight and Distribution, Other Manufacturing Costs (OMC), and other while collaborating and working closely with Operations on planning, tracking, & reporting

  • Develops various monthly key management reporting decks for Leadership, providing great leadership visibility and learning across all of U.S. Therapeutics

  • Work cross functionally with Corporate / Global / Brand / Operations / FSS / Margins to ensure complete and accurate reporting

  • Strong involvement integrations and system changes/upgrades, working with project teams as needed to track progress, achievements, and risks throughout project

  • Work with all US Therapeutic Areas / Business Units to consolidate meaningful business insights and commentary for various reporting for US Presidents and Therapeutic Area Management Teams

  • Leads Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, projects, and process improvements as requested or needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills, proven ability to identify and implement process improvements

  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience

  • Strong Excel, SAP, Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC), HFM, W-Desk, and Power BI a plus

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with major in accounting

  • CPA and MBA plus

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP & SOX preferred

  • Audit, Internal Quality, Compliance experience preferred
