Amazon Head of Retail Operations & Initiatives , Mexico Team in Mexico City, Mexico

As the leader for Amazon Mexico’s Retail Operations & Initiatives, you will focus on delivering a world-class customer experience and exceptional sales and margin growth for the Amazon, including leading a team of talented Arizonians across different charters such as Programmatic Value Added Services- Programs, Catalog Quality & Health, Paper-cuts/continuous improvements, Vendor Experience.

The Mexico business is a key growth opportunity for Amazon. We are looking for an executive with deep experience in managing and developing multiple charters and projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for online commerce, have a high level of flexibility and commitment, and above all, be customer obsessed. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, great communicator and negotiator, and will have the business judgment and analytical strength to break down complex problems, the willingness to roll up his or her sleeves and ability to operate cross-functionally and influence roadmaps for business and technical teams.

Key job responsibilities

Bachelors minimum; MBA or further engineering or analytical education will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: Proven general manager with a successful, resourceful and hands-on track record of running a complex business end-to-end combined with strong P&L experience. Deep analytical capabilities, potentially (although not necessarily) gained from a background in Consulting, Finance or business transformation. Technology affinity and track record of employing systems to drive simplification and change. Demonstrable ability to build lasting relationships and conduct negotiations with leading global and local brands to obtain preferable terms and win:win solutions Able to balance strategy with strong operational skills - able to understand, deconstruct, streamline and optimize complex, large-scale business processes Commercially astute, with strong focus and accountability Excellent business judgment, with a track record of generating ideas and solving problems independently.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required

  • Fluent in both, English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
