Context/Scope:

Diageo operates an Analytics & Insights function within the Digital & Technology organisation focused on demonstrating our core information assets (data, analytics capability, reporting and analytics tools) to better equip markets with business decision relevant facts, information and actionable insight. It is increasingly vital to harness information to make actionable, optimized, and timely decisions, keep risks at anticipated and acceptable levels, and uncover opportunities to stay ahead of the competition. A&I will increasingly become a core differentiator for Diageo, with clear opportunities across Diageo’s Commercial investment and operating model.

Market/Role Complexity

As the A&I organisation continues to support multiple business functions with innovative and standardised data assets, this role plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operation of these data assets after they’ve been professionalised.

This role will play a critical role in ensuring A&I tools are transitioned into BAU and a robust BAU model is in place to support tools post delivery by the development teams. This role will switch between being strategic in nature to being operational.

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to

Establish an efficient BAU model for new product/market Run a stable BAU setup for existing products/markets Strive for continuous improvement Manage support partner/vendor Customer first approach by ensuring exceptional service levels

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Own complete BAU responsibilities for A&I for the assigned products, markets & regions Lead the setting up of BAU model for new products or scaling existing products into newer markets Once BAU model is established for a new product or new market, ensuring that agreed critical metrics and standards are surpassed consistently Drive Continuous Improvement by improving processes, tools, technologies all with the aim of improving user experience and bettering service levels Handle key partners and user communications – lead service reviews, create and implement user communication strategies, etc Lead vendor partners and drive them to achieve global BAU critical metrics Ensure standardisation of processes across products, markets and regions Look at opportunities to optimise the product and service provided to the users

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written English

  • Has a minimum of 10-12 years FMCG experience and commercially intuitive

  • 3-5 years of people management experience

  • Possess certification in a highly numerical field, ideally with a focus on Data or Analytics

  • Previous experience in Data & Analytics or technology support/service domain

  • Strong project management skills (Agile & Waterfall)

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Power BI, SSRS), Analysis Package (SSAS), databases (SQL), programming (XML, JavaScript, Visual Basics)

  • Understanding of Azure data platforms

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, coordinate, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Possess understanding in how data is stored, and very comfortable manipulating data structures in complex environments like data warehouses and SQL

  • Able to prioritize multiple and complex processes and complex data inputs

  • Possess strong interpersonal, numerical and problem-solving skills

  • Identify clear priorities and focus on them at all times

  • Take personal accountability/full ownership of

  • Work within and ensure the team works within the commercial tramlines and relevant business process guidelines required to implement efficiently and thoughtfully

  • Generate ideas grounded in a deep understanding of customer requirements and handle them through to successful execution

  • Strong key partner management skills

  • High Accountability/Ownership levels

  • Spanish / English Proficiency
