We’re looking for the next Head of Culture and Entertainment. A passionate leader with a creative mind; a disruptor with a real passion and flair for brand building through the eyes of culture, generating the right strategies to embed our spirits portfolio into Mexican culture, creating the big, giant brands of the future in this market. The person should be a big problem solver but obsessed with impeccable execution, a true leader, able to influence boldly - in and outside - the organization, creating the trends with whose our brands will lead talkability and advocacy among the alcoholic beverage industry.

Responsible for leading a team and our portfolio cultural strategy, integrating outstanding thinking around PR, but also the social and traditional media landscape, connecting multiple touchpoints through an omnichannel vision. Delivering the strategy and execution, in close collaboration with the brand, media, e-commerce and multifunctional key collaborators, plus external agency partners to build leading initiatives that consistently deliver category and brand growth.

Top Accountabilities

  • Craft our brands’ next 3-year strategy around culture, to deliver strong impact for the business in Mexico. Generate a strong vision to build at scale cultural plans and consumer experiences, being so relevant to drive heightened advocacy and talkability (both from earned media and social media).

  • Identify and bring to bear the right cultural spaces crafting the narratives, to integrate and join up with brilliant brand, media (earned, owned, and paid) and e-commerce plans.

  • Lead the agenda in setting the right cultural partnerships (agencies, content & media, owned and sponsored events, brand advocates & influencers) building a solid ecosystem around our brands different touchpoints, to create relevant multichannel connections with consumers at scale.

  • Act as a guardian to ensure Diageo’s global vision on business integrity, leading the agenda on reputation and crisis management, in collaboration with internal corporate relations and compliance teams.

  • Develop and grow a team of thoughtful persons, passionate for the role our brands play in culture, supporting and mentoring the team to generate big impact.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing of which 5+ years have strong evidence that you have crafted breakthrough strategies (and results!) by building brands in culture (music, sports, film, entertainment, fashion, food, drink, art and/or design).

  • You are constantly curious about consumers, having a deep understanding of the consumer behavior and culture in Mexico.

  • A strong teammate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Always ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

  • Track record on commitment teams’ management and people development.

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Able to demonstrate strong relationship building and influencing skills across functions​.

  • Skilled in developing customer and partner dedication, negotiating for strong relationship with a diverse range of individuals.

  • Preferred qualifications: Experience on handling crisis management protocols and brands.
