Red Hat Senior Specialist Solution Architect in Mexico City, Mexico

Job Summary

The Red Hat Telco LATAM Sales team is looking for a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect with a record of successfully delivering business results in the telco network integration ecosystem to join us in Mexico City, Mexico. In this role, your primary responsibility will be guiding incremental revenue through technical alignment between Red Hat and our telco network integration partners. You’ll need to be highly technical while sales-focused to succeed in this customer-facing position with significant knowledge and experience in deploying Red Hat and ecosystem partner solutions, capable of architecting full stack of end-to-end solutions. Solid leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills are a must to guide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hat’s LATAM telco business in support of Red Hat Sales. To effectively perform these responsibilities, you’ll need to have experience in technical selling as well as a deep technical understanding of the network ecosystem and practical work including related business models.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical presales support and architect solutions that include Red Hat’s solutions, consulting services, and training, aligned with those of our global systems integration partners

  • Guide engaging conversations, customer relationships, and architected solutions that result in sales growth; support customer meetings through presentations, e.g., whiteboarding or formal presentations, demonstrations, and explanations of the value of Red Hat’s technologies, open platforms, and architected solutions.

  • Provide offering and solution deep dives to explain technologies like K8S, OpenStack, OpenShift, Ansible, etc. and product capabilities to partners and handhold their work as they put up proofs of concepts (PoCs) and create offers

  • Certify third party software on Red Hat’s solutions.

  • Build solutions in the areas of LTE, 5G, Core, RAN along with partners solutions.

  • Build trusted relationships with the partner to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer's or partner’s business, network infrastructure, and IT and applications environments, allowing the Sales team to best match Red Hat’s offerings and solutions with those of our ecosystem of partners to address the customer’s business needs and requirements.

  • Actively collaborate with regional leaders in a similar role and global teams to align on technology strategy, use case development, and participation in customer PoC and delivery

  • Represent Red Hat and the partnership as a spokesperson and presenter at internal and external industry forum and open source community events; coordinate with globally distributed partner-specific technical engagement resources in tandem with partner alliance teams

  • Develop executive relationships and alignment, coordinated tightly with Red Hat’s product leadership to ensure design win pursuits fit with the overall Red Hat market, business strategy, and commercial models

  • Communicate progress, status, and lessons learned from sales pursuits to all internal stakeholders and customers as applicable; demonstrate the ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for product and technology roadmaps.

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in networking, telco, and software industry, with a deep understanding of Red Hat’s platforms, open source software and communities, and customer issues in delivering on the promise of IT and network transformation

  • 5+ years of large or global account technical experience, with demonstrated excellence in delivering results of guiding technology adoption

  • Practical experience in deployment of OpenStack and K8S (OpenShift) to advise the integration partners on technical solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with diverse senior executives and program owners

  • Highly collaborative work style with proven ability to gather consensus and get support for decisive and timely action

  • Advanced computer science or engineering degree with specialties in networking or communications and extensive engagement in open source communities and industry forums

  • Fluent written and verbal language skills in English

  • Availability to travel extensively to Latin America countries

  • Knowledge of networking technologies, products, and solutions is a plus - especially cloud architectures and solutions
