Newell Brands Copywriter in Miami, Florida

Newell Brands is searching for a passionate, creative Bilingual Copywriter (English/Spanish) who can elevate the content for our Latin American market and support a diverse portfolio of iconic consumer goods brands.The ideal candidate will possess a blend of management, writing and editing, skills —as well as the ability to tackle a high volume of tasks with poise and enthusiasm.

This role will work with our Kitchen brands (Oster, Rubbermaid, FoodSaver and more), so a history or strong interest in Cooking or Kitchen brands is a plus. The right candidate for this role is comfortable working independently, can set their own priorities and multitask well, but is also a true collaborator and always open to learn. This writer must be adaptable and able to switch between voices as they navigate content across brands—they are a creative self-starter who is energized to learn and enjoys a fast-paced and flexible work environment. Experience in eCommerce is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic vision for all product copy and brand editorial across category of business.

  • Review and refine copy across all channels—DTC, Retail.com and Social—to refine and deliver on brand promise and personality within content deliverables and ensure consistency of tone within a digital-first POV.

  • Leverage SEO, web analytics, customer insights, and user feedback to optimize content impact.

  • Understand business requirements, analyze user and business needs, inventory existing content, follow content standards, as well as write, edit, and proof e-commerce content.

  • Collaborate with internal teams as well as with 3rd parties to deliver best-in-class digital shelf execution.

  • Producing eCommerce product content in the forms including, but not limited to, short descriptions (i.e. bulleted or abbreviated descriptions to accommodate page layout designs), long descriptions, meta descriptions, meta keywords, and title tags.

  • Produce marquee, banner, web page, and SEO-oriented copy for B2C and B2B channels.

  • Work closely with eCommerce, Brand communication, and agency teams to create content that meets user needs and business goals.

  • Maintain content standards, including governance of content.

  • Works with legal to ensure compliance and to help protect brand/corporate intellectual property.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will be a proven team contributor with experience in retail, e-commerce, or CPG direct-to-consumer

  • A minimum 3 years of copywriting work experience (portfolio or writing samples requested)

  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, possesses strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Spanish required).

  • Experience or strong personal interest in working with Cooking or Kitchen brands a plus

  • Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a solution-oriented approach to challenges

  • Ability to work well with both speed and simplicity

  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies

  • Comfortable presenting in front of various audiences and selling creative

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously

  • BA in English or Creative Writing, or relevant work experience
