NBC Universal Graphic Designer in Miami, Florida

The Designer for Telemundo Design concepts, designs and animates assets and campaign packages for Telemundo Marketing & Creative Strategy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, produce and participate in the design and execution of elements ranging from on-air still graphics, & special campaigns to animated packages.

  • Work cooperatively with Designers, Producers, Editors and Creative Directors in creating campaign graphics.

  • Perform any associated duties that may be assigned in relation to the completion of a project.

  • Must be capable of contributing to every phase of production, from concept development and storyboards to final renderings and delivery.

  • Collaboratively build the bridge between Key Art, Motion Design, and social media to build effective, holistic campaigns for shows and brand.

  • Participate in brainstorms, design ideations, pitches, and executions for innovative and engaging creative activations.

  • Collaborate with external creative agencies, freelance designers, animators, and other vendors.

  • Work with project management/producers to identify project needs and timing to build and meet deadlines.

  • Work with in-house team and outside vendors, managing retouching, rendering and delivery of elements, toolkits, and style guides.

  • Promote excellence through effective detail-oriented quality control.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Works under the direct supervision Design Manager and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

     

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working at a network or broadcast design agency

  • Strong skills in animation and design, demonstrating creativity.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in both motion design and key art concepting and development.

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects)

  • Understanding of the implementation of design elements across 360 degree marketing campaigns is a must.

  • Exceptional sense of layout and typography

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

  • Must have a portfolio that demonstrates excellent design skills and capability

  • Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment

  • Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
