Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus
Shift: Full -Time (40 hrs. M-F ) Days, Evenings, Flexible hours, Flexible shift, On call rotational and weekend coverage may be required.
Work Location: University of Miami Hospital - Imaging Services
Operates MRI equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and research purposes.
Sets up imaging area and selects appropriate coil based on information from exam triage form, attached referring physician order, and patient’s screening form.
Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specific areas of the body.
Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Follows safety procedures by assessing the patient physically and reviewing applicable notes and forms in patient’s file.
Performs daily quality assurance measurements on MRI equipment.
Reports and documents any equipment issues to the appropriate senior staff.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT):
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
