The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Division has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Research Assistant / Data Entry Specialist to work on the UHealth campus.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Enter research data accurately and timely into designated databases or software systems.

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency through careful validation and verification processes.

  • Maintain organized records of all data entry activities and ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

  • Assist in participant recruitment efforts, including contacting and scheduling participants as per study protocols.

  • Prepare research materials and assist in data collection during research sessions.

  • Perform literature reviews and assist in the preparation of research reports and manuscripts.

  • Coordinate logistics for research meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

  • Assist in procurement of research supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Support grant reporting requirements by compiling necessary data and documentation.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including researchers, clinicians, and administrative staff.

  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to the project team in a clear and timely manner.

  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with study participants and external collaborators

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
