Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s IT Infrastructure Teams are responsible for IT infrastructure (voice/data networks, firewalls, phone systems, video conference systems, proxy servers, DNS, domain controllers, WAN optimization controllers, monitoring software and security systems). They define, design and implement network communications and solution improvements. TE’s IT Infrastructure Teams also analyze, design, acquire and implement projects for LAN and/or WAN systems; plan, design, acquire and implement telecommunications voice/wire systems; propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

Position Overview: This position is in charge of the day to day operational support of TE’s Global Network. The individual in this role will be involved in the setup, management, maintenance, and projects associated with the global network architectures. Key objectives in this role are support, troubleshooting, and automation of the global network technologies.

• Experience with Cisco networking technology (LAN/WAN)

• Experience with Aruba/HP WIFI technology

• Basic understating of Firewall architectures

• Understand WAN/LAN Connectivity through use of Routers, Core Switches, Firewalls, and WIFI devices.

• Basic understating of Routed/Routing Protocols and Networks: BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VRFs, VPNs

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and associated technologies in order to troubleshoot PC, server, storage, and application issues.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Actively participates in the resolution of ServiceNow tickets by taking ownership of tickets, resolving and closing with proper detail. Works with other engineers to assist with the closure of tickets where applicable.

• Participates or Leads in priority type incidents by actively sitting on MIM (Major Incident Management) bridges. Provides regular status updates to peers and management. Able to translate complex technical issues into layman's terms to provide executive updates.

• Monitors and drives upgrades, patching and lifecycle management to ensure audit compliance.

• Ability to work independently and lead projects based on IT initiatives. Ownership of key tasks/milestones to achieve a successful implementation/closure

• Experienced with working in a large, global, follow the sun support organization.

• Provide off-hours support through the use of a global follow-the-sun team and rotating on call procedure. May serve as an escalation for on-call issues.

• Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Generally, requires bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2+ years of experience;

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $110,560-165,840 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
