Job Description

Provides research, interrogation, analysis, and recommendations for National Item Identification Number (NIIN) that could not positively identified by Part Number in the B-52H Part Number Listing. Collects information to recommend whether each unique NIIN is used to support B-52 operations in any capacity (i.e., ground support equipment, operations equipment, carry on equipment, aircraft parts, attaching hardware, Line Replaceable Units (LRU), Shop Replaceable Units (SRU), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), etc.) Analyze and evaluate aircraft maintenance and related aircraft and systems depot maintenance, inspections, and repair processes and procedures. Analyzes and participates in development of logistics plans affecting the production, distribution, and inventory of aircraft. Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports. Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers. Oversees the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc. Provides activity and status reports to management. Directs and leads lower-level employees. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience

· Typically, requires a college or university degree in Business related disciplines that focus on supply chain, purchasing, business administration/management, and/or Logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories, principles and concepts within the specified discipline. May be entry level for those with an advanced degree. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.

· Knowledge of the B-52 or other large military aircraft Weapon Systems and sub-systems is required.

· Experience as a maintainer, technician, logistician, maintenance planner/scheduler, supply manager, or equipment specialist is a requirement.

· Experience in the following: MS Office, data management and record keeping required.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment required.

· Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral.

· Ability to occasionally brief results to other team members, KBR managers and customers required.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance required.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· This position will require knowledge of the B-52 Weapon System and sub-systems. The position requires logistics and maintenance analyses to conduct assessment of B-52 Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) work cards and technical data in support of the USAF B-52 System Program Office (SPO).

· Support Engineering Requirements and Review Process (ERRP) and Development Packet (DevPac) creation.

· Review tasks from Programmed Depot Maintenance Scheduling System (PDMSS).

· Conduct research on aircraft parts availability required to complete depot Work Control Document (WCD) by cross referencing part number/National Stock Number (NSN).

· Create reports to document necessity, feasibility, and supportability of depot tasks and build List of Material (LOM).

· Utilize weapon system experience to act as a liaison between engineers, technical staff, depot maintenance representatives, and supply chain members.

· Conduct logical analyses of engineering, and other technical problems, and formulate solutions to problems.

· Utilize Joint Engineering Data Management Information Control System (JEDMICS), Technical Order Authoring and Publishing (TOAP), and Enhanced Technical Management System (ETIMS) databases to conduct research on aircraft parts.

· Utilize the Information Handling Services (IHS) Haystack Gold, Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS)/(FedMall) and Center of Parts Activity (COPA) databases to research parts availability.

· Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve Group’s products or services.

· Utilize in-depth knowledge and experience regarding aircraft structure and systems.

· Research libraries for applicable data pertinent to problems, as necessary.
