The base hourly rate for this position is $23.18
Johns Manville in Milan OH is currently recruiting for Production Finishing Operators -- Afternoon Shift. This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.
Starting rate is $24.18/hr. and can earn up to $27.14/hr. through the Pay for Skills Program.
This is a 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. shift
Your Day to Day:
- Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
- Relieve other employees as directed.
- Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made.
- Maintaining daily housekeeping requirements
- Follow JSA/SOP's
- Wear proper clothing and PPE as required.
- Complete all training and meetings.
- Understand and use all appropriate checks and checklists.
- Complete production reporting
- Other duties may vary depending on the position assignment, check with your supervisor for more details.
What You Bring to the Team:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction, finished product specifications.
- Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).
- Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with others.
Physical Requirements:
The ability to stand for extended periods.
The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward
positions.
Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing,
pulling)
The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very
cold).
The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
The ability to reach or work above the
shoulder.
