Lab Tech

Pay: $22/hour

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma/GED with lab experience or Bachelor’s degree with academic/industry lab experience.

• Required Skills:

• 1+ year of lab experience.

• Ability to complete tasks independently and meet deadlines.

• Problem-solving skills using established procedures.

• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and conveying information).

• Experience with aseptic/cleanroom practices is a plus.

• Basic math and unit conversion skills.

• Comfortable standing for extended periods.

• Preferred Skills:

• Background in biology or chemistry.

• Mechanical aptitude.

Schedule:

• Flexibility required, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

• Rotating shifts based on business needs:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 AM–6:30 PM

• 4th Shift: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM

• Expect to work two adjacent shifts weekly on average.

Responsibilities

• Support vaccine manufacturing in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.

• Perform duties following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policies.

• Key tasks include:

• Cleaning and sterilizing work areas and equipment.

• Setting up and operating lab equipment.

• Assisting with aseptic procedures, product formulation, filling, labeling, and packaging.

• Keeping accurate records and documentation.

• Handling poultry during tissue harvesting or waste management (non-aseptic procedures).

• Monitoring and ordering lab supplies.

• Participating in training sessions to enhance skills.

• Report unusual occurrences and contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing procedures and production records.
