Linnaeus Business Relationship Manager in Milnthorpe, United Kingdom
An exciting opportunity for a permanent position as Business Relationship Manager has arisen at Kentdale Referrals located in the beautiful former market town village of Milnthorpe, Cumbria. Ideally situated within easy commute of south of the Lake District and Lancaster.
Kentdale Referrals is a busy specialist-led orthopaedic and spinal referral practice. It majors in orthopaedics but also specialises in soft tissue, neurology and physiotherapy. Kentdale Referrals is owned by Linnaeus and part of the prestigious Mars Veterinary Health Group. Kentdale Referrals are proud to have been awarded ISFM Cat Friendly Silver award and the IIE Bronze award for sustainability.
The Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for working closely with Kentdale Referrals and the wider Linnaeus teams to drive top line business growth and local referring vet engagement through relationship building. This role is field based work and working on site. The BRM will work closely with Senior Leadership Team. Your working weekly hours will be 37.5.
The primary objective of the BRM is to grow new and retain current referrals to the centre and to gain feedback from the veterinary practices on what services or opportunities could be improved in order for them to consider referring if they are not currently. The plan will develop a list of postcodes and priority practices, to visit on a local level and develop strong relationships with.
The role will be working closely with your designated hospital senior leadership team, Managing Director and Marketing Manager, to provide business relationship plans for the practice to align with the business objectives to drive top line growth.
Define core and boarder catchment areas via postcodes and define support plans for each area. Prepare visit plans, call or support plans for each practice and measure results. Audit existing activity and use results to build on client and referring vet base. Ensure activity has clear objectives and can be measured to understand ROI.
Working with MM, HD and HRVN ensure there is a CPD plan for the year to reflect and showcase specialisms in the centre. Organise and liaise with external suppliers, peak interest and register referring vets onto CPD, updating information on website and ensure practice are clear on what content and information they can find on the site.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys communicating to a high level with a positive outlook and has enthusiasm to drive the business forward suggesting and implementing new ideas and strategies.
Experience
Experience of building business support plans
Good stakeholder manager and relationship builder
Some knowledge of veterinary businesses and how they operate.
Field based experience.
Experience in a referral’s environment within healthcare.
Knowledge
Knowledge of relationship management
Understanding of service sectors
Veterinary industry knowledge would be excellent but knowledge of healthcare or service provider essential industries also acceptable
