Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership, planning, prioritization, and support for key manufacturing test productivity & new product introduction (NPI) projects across GE Healthcare’s Patient Care Solution strategic business unit. Influence and collaborate with design engineering, suppliers, supplier management, GE plants, and field service teams to integrate global activities, and achieve project goals. Serve as key technology leader within the test engineering domain. Engage key NPI program teams, ensure early focus on DFT analyses, requirements flow-down & rationalization, test strategy development, robust equipment design, and wing-to-wing test quality/capability. Ensure early focus on DFT in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, Lean process layout, tooling and equipment development and QMS Design Transfer execution. Drive test platform/process standardization across the value stream. Evaluate and propose P&E/NRE make/buy strategies for tactical test equipment development, balancing complexity versus resource constraints. Able to collaborate and lead in a global environment, across cultures, geographies, and time zones. Comfortable working thru pushback.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Engineering (any) and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in a related occupation. The position also requires: 5 years of industrial experience into a manufacturing environment, including leading the design and deployment of automated test equipment, tooling, test methods, and business or industry best practices; 4 years experience leading large-scale projects, including design for testability, manufacturing productivity, technology, and automation; and 3 years experience strategizing test methodology, co-developing test requirements and working across functional teams. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report/appear into/at the GE Medical Systems Information Technologies, Inc. offices in Milwaukee, WI.
