JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: Organizational Structure Reports to (Title): Froedtert & MCW Chief Advanced Practice Officer Dotted Reporting to: FH VP of Surgical Operations and Chair, Department of Anesthesiology Reporting relationships: Anesthesia Site Based Leads and Managers Collaborates with (Titles): Froedtert Health VP of Surgical Operations, Department of Anesthesiology Administrator, MCP COO, Associate Chief of APP Privilege and Practice, Froedtert and MCW Physician Enterprise President, Vice Chair of Clinical Operations, Department of Anesthesiology, Chief CRNA and Lead CAA Funded: 50% Froedtert/ 50% MCW FTE: 0.6 Admin, 0.4 Clinical Purpose The aim of this position is to hardwire CRNA and CAA representation and subject matter expert on system privilege and practice committees, maintain shared governance activities, invest in continued professional practice and development programming inclusive of maintaining a diverse workforce pipeline through community education program partnerships, serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory statutes that govern CRNA and CAA practice, and recognition of workforce contributions and excellence. In addition to a clinical practice in Anesthesia, the Associate Chief of Advanced Practice Anesthesia Providers works in collaboration with the Chief Advanced Practice Officer and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology to Strategically and programmatically design and recommend evidence-based, cost-effective, patient oriented, provider role based clinical practice models that reflect existing and emerging practices and patient populations within settings that employ Froedtert and MCP advanced practice anesthesia providers. Establish high-functioning relationships with Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), MCP, Community Physicians (CP), and Froedtert ThedaCare Health South Region leaders that promote joint strategic planning and goal achievement. This is inclusive of entity CMOs and CNOs. Serve as a system liaison for CRNA and CAA practice standards and scope. Utilize process improvement methodology to enhance workflows and quality metrics. Understand the clinical growth impact on operations as it relates to the CRNA and CAA workforce, including role of EMR, analytics, and productivity tracking tools. Develop subject matter expertise related to CRNA and CAA privileging, new hire onboarding, and assessment of competency using both focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation.
