We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Controller will play a crucial role in providing financial leadership and direction, analyzing financial results, and working closely with various functional leaders to enhance financial performance. This role also encompasses overseeing the accounting team, maintaining strong internal controls, and managing the company's accounting systems and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate financial results to the leadership team, including performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year.

• Guide the President and CFO on resource allocation to optimize growth opportunities, cost reduction activities, or process efficiency improvements.

• Partner with other functional leaders to understand key variances and implement improvement actions.

• Provide visibility on profitability trends by customer, product, and job, highlighting low margin opportunities for review and disposition.

• Monitor the company’s cash position and provide weekly cash flow projections.

• Define the accounting and finance requirements for the company’s new ERP system.

• Provide financial justification and guidance for capital investments and track progress of the company’s major capital initiatives.

• Oversee the company’s accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and the safeguarding of assets.

• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, including proper revenue recognition for engineering projects.

• Validate the accuracy of the costing system while providing cost analysis and education regarding cost drivers.

• Lead the development and preparation of the annual budget plan, including sales, expenses, working capital and cash flow.

• Coordinate the timely preparation of all materials, schedules, and analyses required for the year-end audit.

• Prepare necessary information to support property tax filings, income tax return preparation, and other compliance requirements.

• Provide ad-hoc financial support as needed to other functional leaders.

• Coach and develop the accounting team, maintaining open and continuous communication with the team to raise awareness of companywide priorities and initiatives and progress toward goals.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services and DCAA regulations.

• Extensive experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Ability to oversee all Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes.

• Proficiency in Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage Accounting Software.

• CPA certification is required.

• Prior experience in a Manufacturing Company, with specific knowledge of Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Costs.

• Familiarity with the Manufacturing Industry.

• Experience with a Big 4 Accounting Firm is preferred.

• Ability to manage Annual Standard Cost evaluations and Budgeting - Forecasting processes.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
