Part-time: 21 hours a week ( will need to be able to cover other shifts )

Shift time: 6pm-12am, somedays 6pm-9pm.

Job Description

Our Exit Lane Monitor is tasked with overseeing and managing the flow of passengers through airport exit lanes, ensuring security and compliance with airport regulations. This role involves monitoring passenger movement, preventing unauthorized entry into secure areas, and providing guidance and assistance to passengers as needed. You must always be vigilant, quickly identifying and addressing any security concerns or breaches. Also, you are responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of emergency procedures and evacuation routes, ready to respond effectively in case of an emergency.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN EXIT LANE MONITOR

· You like working as a team, toward a common goal

· Monitor and manage the flow of passengers through airport exit lanes

· Ensure that passengers do not enter restricted areas through exit lanes

· Assist passengers with directions and provide information on airport facilities and services

· Maintain a vigilant watch for any suspicious activities or security breaches

· Operate and manage exit lane security equipment as required

· Communicate effectively with security personnel and other airport staff

· Respond quickly to emergencies or incidents in and around exit lanes

· Provide assistance to passengers with special needs or disabilities

· Enforce airport safety and security protocols at exit lanes

· You have a great attention to detail

· You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks

· Like to build long term relationships with your customers

· Physical activity may include:

· Stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

· Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

· Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

· Minimum age of 18 years old

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

· 1 Year of Customer Service

· 1 Year of security experience

· Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

· Ability to pass a drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
