FROEDTERT HEALTH Medical Assistant MA Podiatry in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position is for a Medical Assistant who is interested in being a nail tech. You will be cutting toenails all day long in the podiatry department. If you are not trained as a Certified Medical Nail Tech, then you will complete training once hired (before seeing patients). Discover. Achieve. Succeed. #BeHere Location: Split between Greenfield High Lands in Greenfield, WI (3 days per week) and Springdale Health Center in Brookfield, WI (2 days per week) This job is ON - SITE. FTE: 1.000000 Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (some flexibility is available and can be discussed during the interview) Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: Under the supervision of a nurse or physician, carries out and assists with patient procedures, education and patient management. Participates in administrative tasks such as scheduling surgeries. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One to two years of clinical experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High school diploma or equivalent required. In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience: A.) A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). B.) A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, one (1) year of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience preferred. C.) Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials: a.) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) b.) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) c.) Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE). LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.
