Robert Half Payroll Coord in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. We are seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage and oversee all aspects of our payroll processes. This role involves maintaining payroll information, resolving payroll discrepancies, and providing payroll information when required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles for various personnel

• Retrieve and validate the hours worked from the accounting system and import them into the payroll system

• Manage time banks, sick leave banks and floating vacations

• Ensure effective management of vacation pay and salary input

• Guarantee timely payroll transmissions at all times

• Send payroll accounting entries to the accounting department every week

• Respond to employment insurance inquiries and manage audits and compliance

• Act as the contact for all payroll matters and answer internal and external calls

• Participate in the compliance management of the year-end process

• Prepare month-end reports in compliance with deadlines and proceed with check requisitions

• File payroll-related documents and ensure all documentation is compliant and up to date

• Utilize skills in Payroll Functions, Compliance Management, and Auditing to ensure all tasks are performed accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in the use of 'About Time' software for time management and payroll tasks

• Experience in the preparation and maintenance of payroll documentation

• Familiarity with compliance management and adherence to regulatory standards

• Knowledge of insurance policies and their impact on payroll

• Ability to perform auditing tasks related to payroll functions

• Prior experience in managing company salary structures

• Familiarity with requisitions and accounting entries related to payroll

• Experience in managing pension plans and union dues

• Ability to prepare and present month-end payroll reports

• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance in the context of payroll

• Understanding of floating in payroll context

• Familiarity with CSST and its application in payroll

• Experience in handling overall accounting functions

• Proficiency in QA management for ensuring accuracy of payroll

• Ability to answer payroll-related queries from employees

• Knowledge of statistics for payroll analysis

• Experience in managing compliance in the energy/natural resources industry
