PRODUCTION MANAGER - POWDER COATINGS 1st Shift The Production Manager - Powder Coatings is responsible for all aspects of powder production including production personnel. The Manager oversees manufacturing production to ensure that all quality, safety, and efficiency goals are attained. DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide direction for all manufacturing activities. Assist in scheduling activities. Work with corporate engineering regarding maintenance of equipment and scheduling of preventive maintenance. Driving continuous improvement in all production areas and processes. Leading operational excellence on the production floor. Leading and/or being an active member of the Safety Committee. Compliance with all applicable ISO procedures and processes. Responsible for training and control of all production processes. Responsible for auditing processes and maintaining data as evidence of process control. Oversee staff in raw material/finished goods warehouse, shipping and receiving areas. Responsible for maintaining all safety requirements of the department. Utilize the Business Operating System to report operations completed, materials issued, and other related transactions. Responsible for adherence to safety rules by all direct reports, promoting safe work practices, coaching and any necessary safety training required in addition to that provided by the corporate safety trainer. Also is responsible for stopping and reporting any safety violations when observed throughout the facility. Interview, hire and terminate employees, as necessary.
